The use of motorcycle a means of transportation has now become a necessity for every community, especially people with lower middle income. Motorcycles as a helper for community activities in carrying out daily activities should receive important attention for their users. The density of road activities in the city of Padang requires motorcycle to be in good condition, motorcycle require maintenance so that they are always in a standard condition and are safe to use, therefore motorcycle repair services are needed. Motorcycle workshop is a building/room that functions to carry out maintenance, repair, maintenance, modification of tools and machines.
The city of Padang, West Sumatra is one of the areas where the use of motorcycle increases from year to year. The rapid development of motorcycle use should be accompanied by an increase in motorcycle repair service providers. However, in reality the number of service providers is not proportional to the increase in the number of existing motorcycles. This is an opportunity in the future to build a motorcycle repair business. Parupuk Tabing is one of the villages in Koto Tangah District, Padang City, West Sumatra Province. Parupuk Tabing Village has an area of 9.41 Km2 with a population of 20,363 consisting of 10,520 men and 9,843 women and the number of RW 20 and RT 82. People in Parupuk Tabing Village generally work in the field of micro, small and medium enterprises, including as fishermen, traders and culinary businesses, but in this case there are not a few people who are still unemployed. The existence of unemployed people in this area leaves many problems, this is of course the responsibility of the government and us together to provide opportunities and job information that have good and promising prospects in the long term.
Observations and in-depth interviews that the proposer conducted with the Lurah Parupuk Tabing and several local RW, showed that the unemployed people in this area ranged from 7-10% of the total population. In addition, the availability of motorcycle repair services in this area is very minimal. This is not proportional to the number of motorbikes, almost every resident’s house has a motorbike. The Lurah and RW in Parupuk Tabing are very enthusiastic and enthusiastic in helping the smooth process and implementation of life skills training for the unemployed community in this area. This will certainly create new entrepreneurs for motorcycle repair shops in the Parupuk Tabing area. In addition, training is one of the efforts to implement the Tridharma of Higher Education for community service, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang to participate in reducing the unemployed community in Parupuk Tabing Village.
PKM was held in Jondul I RW XVI Field, Parupuk Tabing Village. The PKM was opened by the Lurah/lurah representative and RW X, RW XVI and RW XVII. The training participants who participated in the training were 30 people who were unemployed people in the Parupuk Tabing area, especially RW X, RW XVI and RW XVII. PKM will be held for 4 days from July 2, 2021 to July 5, 2021, at Jondul I RW XVI Field. Before the training was carried out, a pre-test was given first. This aims to see the basic abilities of the trainees regarding the material that will be later. The results of the pre-test will be used as a reference in providing material during the training.
Then proceed with giving material in theory and continued with giving practice to participants.

Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test of the training activities that have been carried out, it is found that the knowledge and skills of the trainees have increased. Prior to the training, all of the training participants did not have good skills about building a motorcycle repair business, but after being given the material and direct practice to the trainees, there was an increase in the knowledge and skills of the trainees by 40%. So that the ability and entrepreneurial spirit of the participants will be higher after the training.
