Padang State University through Lecturers of the Automotive Engineering Department carried out Community Service activities (PKM) in Nagari Luak Kapau Alam Pauh Duo, Pauh Duo District, South Solok Regency. This PKM was carried out in the form of training on electronic fuel injection motorbike servicing / tune-up which took place from 19 to 22 September 2019 in Nagari Luak Kapau. The PKM implementation team was chaired by Ahmad Arif, S.Pd., M.T. with members of Wagino, S.Pd., M.Pd.T. as well as training instructor Dedi Setiawan S.Pd., M.Pd.T., Muslim, S.Pd., M.Pd.T. and one student, M. Fais Saputra.
This training activity aims to develop and apply the knowledge and skills of the Tunakarya community regarding electronic fuel injection motorbike tune-ups in Nagari Luak Kapau in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP). To measure the knowledge and skills possessed by the Tunakarya community, a pre-test before training and a post-test after training is carried out. The method applied in the training process uses lecture, question and answer, discussion, demonstration and application methods. The Tunakarya community who joined this training amounted to 15 people, on average all participants were enthusiastic and full of discipline to take part in the training.
The results that have been found after going through this training are increasing the knowledge and skills of the Tunakarya community regarding the control of electronic fuel injection motorbike tune-ups and are expected to be applied in the world of work in accordance with the SOP. There is a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of the unemployed after passing the training which is marked by the comparison between the pre-test and the post-test.
It is hoped that the creation of young entrepreneurs in the automotive sector, especially in electronic fuel injection motorbikes in Luak Kapau, Pauh Duo District, South Solok Regency, West Sumatra. This training activity has made the Tunakarya community feel helped by gaining the knowledge and skills (expertise) of electronic fuel injection motorbike tuning for free.
The South Solok Regency Government would like to thank the FT-UNP Automotive Engineering PKM Team for the useful knowledge and experience that has been given to the Tunakarya community in Nagari Luak Kapau. They hope that this activity can be continued every year so that it can increase the ability and expertise of the community in the field of motorcycle technology in accordance with technological developments.
